Keego Ward made his Irish Whip Wrestling début in November of last year, and has already made his presence felt in IwW.
Not one to endear himself to the fans, Keego often soaks audience members in mineral water, or brandishes his buttocks contemptuously in their direction, in a manner not exactly befitting a man from Killiney, in Dublin. The self-proclaimed 'King of Killiney' found himself an ally this year, in the Ballymun Bruiser, and the two have been wreaking havoc in IwW since the beginning of 2006.
Following a heated and exciting tag feud with Bingo Ballance and Red Vinny, Keego & Bruiser set their sites on Vic Viper, and have gone about making life hell for the man from Snake Mountain. Keego and Bruiser even enraged IwW Champion Sheamus O'Shaunnessy after they had gone through his bag, in an attempt to get to Viper. Unorthodox as their methods may be, this team gets results, and has been extremely effective, thus far, in their run together.
Keego, or the 'Slaphead Superman', as he has dubbed himself, uses a variety of dirty tactics to eke out a victory, and has two devastating signature moves at his disposal: the Tá sé briste (Irish for "he is broken"), a modified jawbreaker; and the K-Plex (a front suplex into a diamond cutter.) Often, though, Ward prefers to rely on the easiest moves at his disposal, and has no qualms about bending or breaking the rules to suit himself.
With matches against the likes of Red Vinny, Vic Viper, Mad Man Manson, Bingo Ballance, Bam Katraz, and Sheamus O'Shaunessy under his belt, Keego has proven he can hang with a wide variety of opponents. And with the Ballymun Bruiser at his side, there's no telling when the 'King of Killiney' will be knocked off his throne. |
